Derek Lamely, rookie and winner in Puerto Rico

The American, managed to obtain a come-from-behind win with two excelent final rounds.
Normally, the career of  professional golfers develops little by little… the strategy is to set achievable objectives and meet them step by step. But there are exceptions to the rule, players touched by the magic wand, those who quickly manage to get a victory.

 
 

Derek Lamely, Winner of the Puerto Rico Open 2010 Presented by Banco Popular

Derek Lamely picks up the champion title at the 2010 Puerto Rico Open Presented by Banco Popular with a score of 269 in 4 rounds at (-19). Under a blue sunny sky and El Yunque Rainforest as a backdrop, Lamely thanked his family, girlfriend and sponsor for all the support. This is his first PGA TOUR win and a purse of $630,000.

Vegas, a pleasant surprise in Puerto Rico

The Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas has surprised everybody in Puerto Rico. Vegas, at present, is playing in the Nationwide Tour.  He turned professional in 2008, and his best performance was the Wichita Open in 2009 (Nationwide tour) where he finished fourth.
